Before the install
Most licensed installers will do a short phone or on-site check before quoting.
For anything involving a switchboard upgrade or three-phase supply, they'll usually book an inspection first.
On the day
Simple installs (switchboard near parking, existing capacity): 2–4 hours.
Longer cable runs or wall/ceiling routing: 4–6 hours.
Switchboard upgrade or complex three-phase work: sometimes a second visit.
After the install
You'll receive a Certificate of Electrical Safety (or state equivalent).
Any state or utility rebate paperwork is usually lodged by the installer.
First full charge should happen the same night for most homes.
