Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Charger Specialist website and quote-comparison service. Last updated: July 2026.

1. About the service

Charger Specialist operates a free quote-comparison service that connects Australian homeowners with licensed local EV charger installers. We are not a licensed electrical contractor and we do not carry out installations. We do not sell chargers or supply electrical work — installers do that under their own contracts with you.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this website or submitting the quote request form, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and either the owner of the property or authorised to request quotes for it. You must provide accurate information — inaccurate details lead to inaccurate quotes.

4. Estimates are indicative

The instant estimate shown after you submit the form is a ballpark based on the answers you provided. It is not a quote or an offer. Final pricing is set by the installer after they have reviewed your job — often after a site visit — and is subject to their own quote terms.

5. Installer quotes and contracts

Any quote, contract or work provided by an installer is between you and that installer. We are not a party to your agreement with an installer, we do not guarantee the quality of any installation, and we are not responsible for installer conduct, pricing, workmanship, warranty claims, delays or disputes. Please carry out your own checks — confirm licensing, insurance, warranty and inclusions before signing anything.

6. Contact and communications

When you submit the form and consent, you agree to be contacted by us and by installers we forward your enquiry to, by email, phone or SMS, about your quote request. You can withdraw consent at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information
  • Submit requests on behalf of someone else without their permission
  • Use the site to scrape data, spam installers, or interfere with the service
  • Use the site for anything unlawful

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site (copy, layout, brand, code) is owned by Charger Specialist or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the site for personal, non-commercial use only.

9. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited, our total liability to you is limited to re-supplying the service (or paying the cost of re-supplying it).

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Charger Specialist is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your dealings with an installer. The service is provided on an "as is" basis and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You and Charger Specialist submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
